It was another encouraging weekend for Overton Cricket Club as the club recorded victories in two of its three Hampshire Cricket League fixtures on Saturday.
The standout performance came from the 1st XI, who produced a dominant display away to Basingstoke & North Hants CC 3rd XI in Division 3C.
Batting first, Overton piled on an impressive 324 for 6, leaving the hosts with a daunting chase. Basingstoke & North Hants were unable to keep pace with the required run rate and were eventually dismissed for 122, handing Overton a comprehensive 202-run victory.

Amport posted 236 for 9 from their allotted overs, setting Overton a competitive target. The home side responded well with the bat, reaching 237 for 6 to seal a hard-fought four-wicket win and continue their positive league campaign.

After posting 180 for 9, Overton looked to defend their total against Crown Taverners CC 2nd XI. Despite their efforts in the field, the visitors reached 178 for 6 to secure victory by four wickets.
